1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information VideoShare collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. VideoShare is operated by EWWD (Erick Wellem Web & Mobile Developments).

2. Information we collect

• Account data: username, email, password hash, date of birth, profile fields.
• Content you upload: videos, captions, comments, avatars.
• Usage data: watch events, likes, saves, follows, search queries, device/session identifiers.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, and request logs needed for security and reliability.

3. How we use information

We use this information to provide the Service (feeds, notifications, search), secure accounts, prevent abuse, moderate content, improve ranking and product quality, and communicate about account or service changes.

4. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share data with infrastructure providers (hosting, email delivery, object storage) under contractual obligations, or when required by law. Public profile information and public videos are visible to other users and may appear in search engines.

5. Retention and deletion

We retain account and content data while your account is active. You can delete your account from Settings; we then deactivate the account, revoke sessions, and remove or anonymize public content as described in product behavior. Backup copies may persist for a limited operational period.

6. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards such as hashed passwords, authenticated APIs, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

7. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
